The ESBE VTC317 series is a thermal
3-way valve to protect the boiler from too low
return temperatures. Maintaining
a high and stable return temperature increases the
Efficiency of the boiler, reduces tar formation and
extends the life of the boiler. The VTC317 valve
is used in heating applications up to 30 kW, where
Boilers for solid fuels feed the storage tank. The valve
is installed in the return line to the boiler 60° C.

▸ Function
The valve regulates with two connections, which makes it
is easy to install and does not require any control valves in the
bypass line is required.
The function of the valve does not depend on the
installation position.
The valve contains a thermostat that
outgoing mixed water temperature of 60°C
in port AB begins to open port A.
Port B is completely closed when the temperature in

▸ Media
As additives, a maximum of 50 % glycol for antifreeze
and oxygen-binding compounds are permitted.
The addition of glycol to the system water on both the

By adding 30-50% glycol, the
maximum performance of the valve by 30-40%. A lower
Glycol concentration is negligible.
